In 1859, 16-Year Old Emma Dillon left her home and family in Virginia, and married a Yankee soldier, settling in Connecticut. What followed over the next 70 years has been captured in a remarkable collection of letters - letters written to Emma from her family and friends.

DEAR EMMA is a musical based entirely on the actual words of these real-life characters. Without the modern aid of a telephone, all forms of communication concerning life, birth, death, love and humor could only be expressed through the treasured letter.

Fly Over Land

2009 Winner of "Dr. Larry Corse Prize" for Playwriting

FLY OVER LAND won the 2009 Larry Corse International Playwriting Competition and was subsequently produced at Columbus State University.

The play sets the traditional roles of religion, psychology, and medicine against the ineffable power of the arts. This surreal pop/rock musical follows the Woman, a pianist who has lost the dexterity in her hands due to a spinal surgery.

The Woman finds herself on a perilous flight with PAIN, who continually torments her with his manic humor and jealous rants. the source of his jealousy is CHOPIN, whose presence is the WOMAN'S only escape. the piece is currently being developed into a musical with music and lyrics by Laura Patriquin.
